History..
Computaphile is led by Brian Clarke whose first piece of software was writen in AlgolW at Bristol University in 1964. It was written on 'punched cards' and added 2 + 3 and got a result of 5. Not the most difficult program he has written, but from that time he has been involved off and on amongst his many other engineering achievments in computing and software design.
As Computaphile in 1976 Brian developed a 'Forth' compiler and went on to produce a number of machine control programs (8086).
He worked as a computer systems design engineer for Thorn EMI in the 1980's and in 1989 Started Computaphile as a full time business in his home town of Rugeley with a shop on the Horsefair.
In 1995 Computaphile became Computaphile Software Solutions Ltd., and has continued to this day producing software, providing training and I.T. support.

The last few years has thus seen our software interface with the internet more and more. This has meant that Computaphile has needed internet facilities outside the provision of the general Internet Service Providers. Our increased involvement with the internet has gradually expanded facilities and expertise so that the natural consequence has been to offer these services to our clients.
Future Goals..
We continue to provide software and support to our customers, (we teat all our customers as friends), but we are particularly keen to develop the internet service side of the business.
